Patti LaBelle came out to show love to Ariana Grande at her concert! They always say that celebrities are the biggest fans of each other.
Grande has expressed her inspiration and love for LaBelle over the years. With endless number one hits and amazing numbers on the music charts; Grande’s career just keep on climbing!
Despite the personal battles she had to overcome one being the lost of her ex, Mac Miller which took a serious toll on her. Soon after that her engagement to Pete Davidson from SNL was called off. Yet she keeps blessing us with more impactful music.

Now we all probably remember the awkward moment last year at The Billboard Awards. LaBelle was asked to introduce Grande at the 2018 Billboard’s Women in Music Awards for the “Woman of the Year” award. The music diva is known for being over the top with her on stage antics and her outgoing personality. However her intended compliment had caused a lot of controversy.
“I’m thrilled to be among so many wonderful friends to present this year’s ultimate honor to Billboard’s Woman of the Year. A young woman who has it all. She’s soulful, strong, and she’s just sensational. She’s all that and a bag of chips. She’s a giant talent who sings from the heart, as I learned when we sang together at the White House for President Obama and Mrs. Obama. She tore it down. Honestly, she can sing her face off.”
If that wasn’t bad enough, it continues…
“She asked me some questions one time. Remember when we did the President’s stuff? And you said, ‘Patti, what should I do?’ I said sing like that little white/Black girl that you are. She got soul like a mug!” she said to Ariana, “My son told me not to say that, but it’s true.” “Your son was probably right,” Grande replied.
