A little over one week after rapper/community activist, Nipsey Hussle, was killed on March 31, 2019, his death certificate has been released. The details within his death certificate were mostly obvious, such as his cause of death being listed as ‘gunshot wounds to the head and torso.’ However, there were a couple details that caught our attention, such as the length of time Nipsey was still alive after getting shot outside his Marathon Clothing Store in Crenshaw, Cali.
Although the viral video surveillance, that captured Nipsey’s murder, seemed to have shown a lifeless Nipsey lying on the ground after alleged killer, Eric Holder (29), shot him, his death certificate says otherwise. Nipsey actually remained alive for 35 minutes after the shooting. That time length further explains how Nipsey’s brother was able to talk to him moments after he rushed to the scene.
