Many of us have been a fan of Nia Long ever since she played “Brandi,” the supportive girlfriend of “Tre” (Cuba Gooding Jr.), who consoled him as he angrily threw those air punches and sobbed uncontrollably in Boyz N’ The Hood. Though the beautiful 50 year old actress has garnered millions of fas throughout the decades, she has now turned into a #1 fan of someone else- her eldest son, who’s making a name for himself these days. Matter of fact, Nia is out here stuntin’ for her baby, who ain’t a baby at all anymore…

But First, Meet The Father Of Nia Long’s Eldest Son…

First up, let us introduce y’all to Massai Z. Dorsey Sr. (pictured above), the father of Nia’s eldest son Massai II. Massai Sr. is an actor, who’s best known for his work in the film, Third Watch. He and Nia dated for quite some time and were even set to jump the broom in 2001. However, they suddenly axed their wedding plans and parted like the Red Sea that same year.

Nia Long’s 20 Year Old Son, Massai II Now…
Massai II is all grown up and and carving a path of his own. Nia posted the below photo of Massai online, acknowledging her eldest son coming into his own as a man, with her caption:

“And one day he became a man responsible for his self proclaimed journey and beautiful mind. I now stand back and give him the room to create greatness. @massaidorsey mommy loves you.” – Nia Long

Nowadays, he’s a skilled athlete, which is why Nia is rejoicing at his progress.

Nia’s Throwback Fan-Mom Moment…
Massai is a baseball player, who plays for his university, Eastern Kentucky University. In 2019, Nia announced her joy soon after Massai made his commitment to EKU:

Nia Long- “I’m so proud of my baby @massaidorsey OFFICIALLY COMMITTED TO EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY!!!Blood, sweat and tears…it’s the only way. Let’s get it baby boy!!! Shot out to Massai Sr. for never missing a game and keeping our boy on course!!”

In addition to playing on the collegiate level, Massai also plays for the Birmingham Varsity Baseball Team in Los Angeles, CA and they have been killin’ it on the field!

He’s Following His Stepdad’s Athletic Footsteps…

Nia has been in a committed relationship with retired NBA player, Ime Udoka, since 2010 and they share one son – 9 year old Kez Udoka. Although Ime isn’t Massai II’s biological father, it seems he’s had an influence on his stepson’s athletic ambitions, which is pretty cool.
