Randy Jackson Was Once Kidnapped By Rebels, His Creative Escape Should Be In A Movie

Michael Jackson’s youngest brother/former The Jackson’s band member, Randy Jackson, was once kidnapped and held hostage, right up under the public’s nose. Luckily he escaped, but the way that he escaped is the most shocking part of it all. This was some real life “Olivia Pope” “Scandal” type of stuff! You gotta see what Randy was able to pull off in order to get away from his captors…

HERE’S HOW RANDY JACKSON WAS KIDNAPPED & HELD CAPTIVE

COLOMBIAN REBEL ARMY GRABS RANDY AT ROADBLOCK

In March of 1993, Randy Jackson was in Colombia, South America, visiting a friend when he was kidnapped by the ELN rebel army. They were leftist rebels who grabbed Randy Jackson at a roadblock and forced him to go with them. This was confirmed by U.S. officials and it was during a time when Colombian rebels were holding Americans hostage for ransom. But wait ’til you see how Randy actually outsmarted the rebels and escaped…

After being held hostage for approximately 8 hours, Randy Jackson, thought quick on his feet and was able to convince the rebels that he was NOT a rich American, but that he was Jamaican. He apparently faked a Jamaican accent the entire duration of his captivity and convinced the rebels that he was a very poor Jamaican evangelist!

According to Newsweek, Randy was “released after eight hours, Jackson reported the incident to the U.S. Embassy, then fled the country… ELN leaders were reportedly chagrined later when they learned how big a fish they let escape.”

As far as we know, neither Randy, nor any of the Jacksons, ever spoke publicly about this…but they didn’t need to because like we said, U.S. officials had already briefed the public on the situation. We’re just glad Mama Katherine’s and the late Joe Jackson’s baby boy made it out alive.
