ILOSM family, we wanna let you in on some news many may not be aware of: Marvin Gaye III, the son of Hazel Gordy (Berry Gordy’s sister) and the late great Marvin Gaye, is a singer, apparently. Who knew?!!
We have a music video of Marvin III, featuring his wife, Wendy. It’s not like his dad’s soul music, it’s actually Marvin III’s first pop dance single, as the Youtube video stated. It’s an uptempo song; and in the video, Marvin III is dancing, singing, and fantasizing about hookin’ up with a woman he spotted at a restaurant (played by his wife). I think it’s uh…pretty interesting. So without further ado people, check out Marvin Gaye III’s dance single, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”…
By the way, we couldn’t possibly end this without throwing back to his Pop’s classic Motown hits and a few old school fun facts about Marvin III:
MOTOWN WAS FAMILY
Marvin III revealed to Global Grind that his childhood was “normal” and that “Motown was always around.” […] “Everybody lived within two blocks of each other, when we lived in Detroit. They’d all get together and write songs.”
HE ATTENDED SCHOOL WITH ROCKSTARS
Marvin III attended Beverly Hills High alongside then unknown rock legends, Slash (of Guns N’ Roses) and Lenny Kravitz.
DAD’S SUCCESS PAID OFF FOR MARVIN III’S TEEN YEARS
‘It wasn’t until his early teens when Marvin Gaye III realized his father was a superstar. “Girls were easy to get,” jokes the eldest son of the R&B legend.’ –source
