Congrats: Da Brat Pregnant At 48…She And Wife, Judy, Beyond Excited

Da Brat is about to welcome a mini-me into this world; and she and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart — the founder of Kaleidoscope Hair products — are “so-o-oo, so-o-oo, so-o-oo funk-da-fied”about him/her!! Okay…I know that “funk-da-fied” reference was a tad corny, but I couldn’t resist. Anywho, peep the details below about Da Brat’s upcoming bundle of joy…

Da Brat and Judy made their baby announcement on Tuesday, via a People Magazine photoshoot, which was shot by renowned photographer, Derek Blanks; as well as on Sherri Shephard’s daytime TV talk show. In the shoot, Da Brat kept it gangsta in true “Brat” fashion, rockin’ a pimped-out fedora, trench coat, and pant suit…with her shirt unbuttoned to showcase her baby bump. Her swag was on level 1000 in the photos and she looked beautiful.

During her photoshoot, Da Brat said that her journey to get here has had some challenges. “It’s been quite a journey,” Da Brat confessed. “There’s a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40,” she said, alluding to the increased risks with having a child after 40.

Along her journey to become pregnant, Da Brat endured a few hurdles. She’s reportedly had an embryo transfer, which required surgery to remove several fibroids and polyps from her uterus. However, through it all, the multiplatinum rap legend has clearly been a warrior, and look at her now — with child and happy as could be!!

In addition to their precious bun in the oven, Da Brat and Judy also have Judy’s three children (from a prior relationship(s), whom we’re sure are elated about their new bro’ or sis’ on the way.

The couple will be chronicling Da Brat’s pregnancy journey on the upcoming season 3 of their WE reality series, “Brat Loves Judy.”
