The Super Bowl Halftime Show is always a topic of conversation, and this year was no different.
One moment, in particular, caught everyone’s attention – the “flirty” interaction between Usher and Alicia Keys. While some people were outraged, Alicia’s husband, Swizz Beatz, had a different perspective.
In his post-Super Bowl social media post, Swizz Beatz responded to the criticism surrounding Usher and Alicia’s performance. He wasn’t offended, and instead, he found the whole situation quite amusing. Swizz Beatz chuckled at the critics — reportedly, like rapper, Bossie Badazz; and boxer, Gervonta Davis– who were outraged on his behalf and assured them that their focus was on the wrong thing.

Rather than zooming in on the sensual hug from behind that Usher gave to Alicia during their performance, Swizz Beatz encouraged everyone to appreciate the amazing dress that covered the entire stadium during the performance. He emphasized that the night was nothing short of amazing, with two R&B stars sharing the stage:
“Y’all talking about the wrong damn thing!!! y’all don’t see that amazing dress covering the entire stadium ⚡️🚨😂😂😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with 2 amazing Giants!” Swizz Beatz expressed.
He continued:
“Congrats @usher and my love @aliciakeys that song is a classic 🤍 We don’t do negative vibes on this side we make history ✌🏽 Go see GIANTS at @brooklynmuseum it’s open until July blessings 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽”
Now, although Swizz is cool with Usher and Alicia’s public displays of affection onstage, two celebs who weren’t cool with it (on behalf of Swizz) were reportedly Gervonta Davis and Boosie Badazz, as previously mentioned. Soon as the Super Bowl Halftime Show aired, both took to social media to air their grievances.
Boosie — who goes by the handle @tirencehatchig on Instagram — wrote:
“@USHER ENOUGH IS ENOUGH BRO‼️U NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO SWISS ✅SHE MARRIED MY NIGGA I KNOW THAT WASNT PLANNED”
And in a now-deleted X (Twitter) post, Gervonta Davis apparently wrote:
“”Usher would have been on his way to a hospital as I write this if I was Swizz.”
While some people were genuinely upset by Usher’s PDA move, Swizz Beatz proved to everyone he is confident and comfortable in his relationship with with his wife of fourteen years. So, hey…if Swizz likes it, then we love it for them.
Simply put — there is no new beef brewing between Swizz and Usher a.k.a. ‘Mr. Don’t-Leave-Your-Girl-Around-Me-True-Player-For-Real. All’s we’ll that ends well.
