In April of this year (2015) R&B Diva, Chante Moore, had to undergo yet another extremely risky surgery that involved getting her neck cut open.

According to her press release, she had to undergo the ‘second of three surgeries to repair one of three herniated discs in her back on Monday, April 6, 2015. Doctors [made] an incision in the front of Moore’s neck and carefully [moved] her vocal chords aside in order to fix the disc that is impinging on a nerve sitting on her spinal cord. The procedure is very invasive and Moore’s expected recovery time is approximately 8-12 weeks. This is her second surgery to correct the problem in two years.’
