After Janet Jackson announced, a couple weeks ago, that she had to have emergency surgery that forced her to cancel her ‘Unbreakable’ tour dates, it didn’t take long for rumors to start spreading rapidly across social media, that she has throat cancer. Well we, here at ILoveOldSchoolMusic, decided not to post those accusations that many were claiming, because the source didn’t seem credible due to a lack of information.
Today things are different, because there has been a statement released directly from Janet Jackson herself, although she originally claimed that she would not speak on her health scare any further after she’d made her initial announcement a couple weeks age. Unfortunately for Janet, social media has forced her hand after the throat cancer rumors became a trending topic on Facebook and spread through Twitter like wild fire, so Janet has posted this message to her fans on Instagram regarding the cancer rumors trend:
And there you have it family! We’re beyond relieved to know that Janet does NOT have cancer and that she said her doctors have approved her to strike her tour back up, starting in March 2016, for the European leg of her ‘Unbreakable’ tour.
According to Pollstar, Janet’s ‘Unbreakable’ tour was listed in the top 20 on it’s global concerts tour listing.
