In a series of tweets on Saturday (3-25-17), Terrence says that the “half truths” presented in the media are not giving an accurate description of what went down between he and his ex-wives. He implied that his then wives displayed aggressive and/or violent tendencies toward him and he reacted as a result of their actions.

Howard also appeared to send a threat to ‘the media’ for reporting his words, which he says were “half truths”…pointing out that just because he hit his two ex-wives at some point, it should not be viewed as an ‘abusive’ incident:terrence howard tweets2

In our prior report, we actually gave Terrence Howard props for (1) publicly ‘coming clean’ about his past abuse and possibly helping others with those same temperamental afflictions; and for (2) putting in the work to overcome his past violent tendencies. Some people agreed with us on that and a few felt Terrence didn’t deserve any recognition for changing his ways.

Since T. Howard is now pissed that ‘the media’ is reporting “half truths,” we want to be sure that we share all of the reported violent incidents involving Howard (that we didn’t get a chance to cover in our prior report) just to be fair, because we always like to strive for accuracy. So below are reports that were released via several media outlets:

Via Rolling Stone: And the 2005 incident in the restaurant? When Howard and a couple were waiting in line to be seated, they got into an argument that didn’t end until Howard knocked the man to the ground and hit the woman. Howard says he wasn’t even in any line. He’d just gone to check out the wait time for a table. The woman accused him of cutting in front of her and one thing led to another, with him acting in self-defense. He pleaded guilty, once again, to disorderly conduct.

Via DailyMail: May 2012: Howard’s girlfriend May Seng Yang told police the star choked her and punched her in the eye before throwing her to the ground during a fight. Howard responded by filing his own suit against Yang for punching him during the fight. The matter was later settled in a private civil suit.

Via DM: January 2011 – February 2012: Howard’s second wife Michelle Ghent was granted a restraining order against the actor in December 2012 after claiming he attacked her just a week into their marriage, punching her in the face. She also alleged he had threatened her life, come after her with a butcher knife, and tried to throw her off a hotel balcony in South Africa. Howard responded by filing his own restraining order against Ghent after suffering ‘constant threats of extortion.’

Now that we’re all brought up to speed on the allegations and admissions involving Terrence Howard. What are your thoughts on this ILOSM family?
(A) Do you think Terrence Howard is being wrongly represented in the media?
(B) Or do you think the reports about his past abuse incidents are fair?
