Actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry was hanging out with his friend, Janet Jackson, last Monday as they dined at a vegetarian restaurant called Green Vegetarian Cuisine. So impressed with the food and server, Tyler Perry left a generous tip that left one waitress crying tears of joys.

An Act Of Kindness:

Janet Jackson is on tour and the musical icon was in San Antonio for a concert , while her friend, Tyler Perry, was in the area after participating in the “Hand in Hand” benefit in Austin, Texas, which raised $44 million for hurricane relief. It’s no secret that the two are friends. They’ve reportedly been close homies ever since they starred together in Perry’s films, Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too? It’s also no secret that Jackson has a lot on her plate right now-: (1) she’s a new mother to her and estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana’s son, Eissa; (2) she’s reportedly divorcing Wissam, after announcing they are officially separated; and (3) she’s currently on under a rigorous work schedule on her State of the World Tour. To show support and simply to be their for his friend, Tyler Perry, took Janet to lunch at a vegetarian restaurant called Green Vegetarian Cuisine. While at the restaurant, the two friends enjoyed their food, conversation, and they even took selfies with the owner, Mike Behrend. In addition to that, Tyler Perry went out of his way to bless one of their servers.

Nicole Tijerina, a waitress at the Green Vegetarian Cuisine, just happened to serve Perry and Jackson on a typical Monday. Tijerina is reportedly a hard worker and often goes above and beyond. After waiting on Perry and Jackson, Tijerina received the shock of her life when she noticed the tip that Perry left her. On a bill of $27, Perry left the waitress a $500 tip. She was stunned and immediately called her husband to tell him the news. Tijerina’s husband took to Facebook to thank Tyler Perry and to acknowledge God for looking over their family.

Another patron at the restaurant, Paulette Clay, was eating at the restaurant when Tyler was there with Janet. Clay took to Facebook to share a photo that she captured of Tyler. She shared that he was calm and spoke to her. Clay laughed in disbelief as she was surprised that “Madea” was a plant eater.
