Remember when singer, Kelis, was bringing ‘all the boys to the yard’ with her ‘milkshake’ in 2003? She had women everywhere reppin’ about the power of their milkshake real tough.
But then came her much publicized divorce from her husband of 4 years, rapper, Nasir “Nas” Jones in 2009, which overshadowed everything else Kelis was doing…music-wise at least. Why? Because their divorce is one of the most expensive in hip hop/R&B history. In 2010 Nas was ordered to pay a whopping $350,000.00+ in their divorce settlement, on top of the $51,000 he was already ordered to pay Kelis per month in spousal and child support.

Those hefty divorce checks obviously came in handy for Kelis, whose last hit record was around 2006 with the release of ‘I’m Bossy.” However, in 2013, three years after those divorce payments kicked in, she tried her hand at a new business as a food-flavoring sauce company called Bounty & Full. The company offers several sauces for cooking.

Okay let us back up for a sec.’ Kelis isn’t new to the food game, in 2009 she graduated and became a Cordon Bleau trained chef. Her love of cooking goes way back to when she was a child and her mother ran her own catering business.

Her Business Has Now Expanded
In 2015 Kelis authored her cooking book, My Life on a Plate.
As of 2017, Kelis has expanded her Bounty & Full brand to include her pop-up restaurants across the country. With her pop-ups, Kelis is the head chef and she and her culinary crew take over another restaurant for a day and cater the entire menu with her own dishes, using her own sauces.

She’s gotten rave reviews for her cooking skills and her sauces. So much so, that she’s also expanded her brand to catering and/or curating the menu for events, such as Floyd Mayweather’s extravagant 40th birthday party recently in Las Vegas.
Hello. And Bye.
