After Quitting Xscape, Kandi Burruss Joins New ‘Cast’ For Another Big Performance

It’s been just a few short weeks since Kandi Burruss announced she was quitting Xscape for good. When the Real Housewives of Atlanta star appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she revealed she was making plans to go on Broadway. Now, she’s officially sealed the deal. According to Playbill, Kandi has joined the cast of Chicago and she’ll be making her Broadway debut in January.

Bigger And Better Things?:

It looks like Kandi is going from one onstage performance to another. Kandi’s announcement follows her seemingly awkward appearance with the ladies of Xscape on Watch What Happens Live.

The shade trees were everywhere when the ladies appeared on the show and the awkwardness was real. During the show, Kandi revealed she was planning to take on Broadway but she didn’t indicate how soon it would be. That night, Kandi also revealed she wouldn’t be making new music with Xscape and the group would be moving forward without her, according to Bravo. “I’m going to be doing Broadway and some other things, and they’re going to be doing new music,” she told Andy Cohen.

Well, now she’s confirmed the transition will be much sooner than fans would expect. If you’d like to see Kandi in Chicago, tickets are reportedly available now through Telecharge. Congratulations to Kandi Burruss.
