For many fans, it seemed as if Paula Patton and Robin Thicke would be together forever. The famous high school sweethearts spent more than half their lives together but apparently, forever wasn’t in the cards for the pair. By now, many fans know Robin Thicke moved on a while ago, but now it looks like the Jumping the Broom star has also found love again. Lately, Patton has been making the rounds doing media with the media to promote her upcoming film Traffik. But during one of the interviews, the famed actress’ love life became a topic of discussion and she had no reservations about spilling the tea on her new relationship.
Her New Man:
According to Page Six, Paula Patton talked about much more than her new action-thriller film when she appeared on Extra TV. Although Patton usually keeps a tight lid on details about her personal life, she did admit she’s in a committed relationship now. However, she isn’t droppin’ her man’s name just yet. “I have a boyfriend now. I haven’t called anybody a boyfriend. He’s my boyfriend!”
She admitted they haven’t been together very long – about a month, to be exact – but that doesn’t mean the relationship isn’t serious. Paula Patton made her feelings for her man quite clear. “But when you know, you know. I love him.”
Fans may not know the new mystery man’s name yet but she did drop a hint about how they met. It appears the two may have met at a basketball game. “If you have a kid and you have a basketball game, look at the daddies. It’s kind of a suburban romance. It’s like all women’s fairy tale. He’s got kids, I got a kid. You know, one of those!”

Life After So Much Drama:
The latest on Paula Patton’s love life follows a string of reports about her messy divorce and custody battle with Robin Thicke. In fact, things got so ugly the “Lost Without You” singer found himself at the center of controversy when he was accused of beating their son, Julian Fuego Thicke.
Around the time of their split, details about their downward spiral were revealed and Thicke reportedly admitted that he’d cheated on Patton several times. But despite all of the drama, Paula Patton admitted that forgiving was a big part of moving forward in order to co-parent with her ex. “To live in the now. You have to forgive. That was then, this is now. You don’t have to hold on to anything. You are not doing your children any service… Bring as much peace and harmony to their life as you can.”
Back in 2014, Paula Patton and Robin Thicke announced their split. After 21 years together and nine years of marriage, fans were completely floored, but to those close to the couple the divorce came as no surprise. In fact, it seemed as if it was only a matter of time. Not only was there infidelity, there were also rumors that Robin Thicke abused drugs and he was allegedly physically abusive. In 2015, Paula Patton was even granted a temporary restraining order.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Colin Leis issued the temporary restraining order after Patton also accused the singer of physically abusing her during their marriage, which ended in March 2015. She also said the “Blurred Lines” singer has traumatized her and her son by demanding visitation and refusing to leave her mother’s home last week.
Based on the way things are now, it appears the divorce was definitely for the best. Paula Patton’s new movie Traffik hits theaters, nationwide, on Friday, April 20. Congratulations and best of luck to Paula Patton.
