Last year when Usher found himself at the center of a sex scandal, one of his accusers stood out because fans just couldn’t see the singer being attracted to her. Quantasia Sharpton probably garnered more attention than any of Usher’s others accusers simply because she was totally different from the rest. Now, that Usher is facing yet another divorce, Quantasia has opted to weigh in on the situation. For those who missed it, TMZ recently caught up with Quantasia and she shared her opinion of the situation.
Speaking Out:
Although it has been confirmed that Quantasia does not have Herpes, ironically she was visiting a medical facility for a checkup following the highly publicized scandal. While Usher and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Grace Miguel haven’t revealed the dominant reason for their divorce, many fans are convinced his scandal definitely didn’t help the situation. Quantasia didn’t have very much to say, but she insisted that Usher’s wife should be upset about the scandal and that he owes her and his other accusers an apology.

Social Media Responds To Her
As expected, Quantasia has opened the door for more criticism because many of Usher’s fans are still wondering why she needs an apology since she opted to put herself on the public chopping block. Since it was confirmed she was not exposed to Herpes, fans are giving Quantasia the side eye even more now. Many have taken to social media in response to her latest statement. “Girl at this point you owe US an apology for wasting our time. Got us over here minding your business and you can’t even back it,” one Usher fan said. “he should’ve just kept quiet and kept it moving! No comment- None of your business!” another fan said.
However, some actually agreed with Quantasia. “Usher owes his wife an apology and he needs to apologize and pay everyone he’s exposed herpes to without their knowledge,” another person said.
The $20 Million Lawsuit:
Quantasia’s latest public appearance follows a massive news cycle about the $20 million lawsuits brought against Usher. For those missed all that drama, multiple women accused Usher of having unprotected sex with them. Then to make matters worse, he was also accused of exposing them to Herpes. As expected, the whole ordeal sparked a media firestorm and many questions were swirling about Usher’s health. However, the singer’s attorneys refused to back down. Shortly after the ordeal made headlines, Usher’s attorneys released a detailed statement.
“It’s our sincere hope that this dismissal will bring an end to the opportunistic litigation against Usher in Georgia, Usher’s attorneys said, according to E! News. “With a one in six chance that any given partner could have genital herpes, plaintiff assumed the risk of contracting an STD each and every time she chose to have unprotected sex with a casual, consensual party,” Usher’s attorney Steve Sadow stated. “To be perfectly clear, [Usher] is not asking the court to pass moral or societal judgment on plaintiff,” the documents state. “[Usher] is only seeking the correct application of the legal doctrine of assumption of risk as interpreted and construed in Georgia’s appellate decisions.”
Usher’s attorneys were also forced to let the cat out of the bag, admitting to the world he’d cheated on his wife. According to Usher’s attorney, Laura “made the free choice to engage in unprotected sexual activity. In doing so, she failed to exercise ordinary care for her own safety.” Usher “general and specifically denies each and every allegation contained in the complaint and the entirety thereof, including each purported cause of action contained therein,” his lawyers said in a statement.
While Usher managed to dodge the lawsuit after his accusers’ cases fell apart, one thing that we can assume is that: he had cheated on his wife. Is that what really led to the divorce? Usher’s accuser Laura Helm’s case against Usher fell apart when an audio clip of one of her conversations was revealed. During the phone conversation, she admitted that Usher had used protection when they slept together. The two are said to have hooked up multiple times in New Orleans back in April of 2017. Of course, it only takes simple math to realize those sexual encounters happened during Usher’s two-year marriage to Grace. Although the two have remained mum about their presumed marital problems, there’s a strong possibility the singer’s infidelity contributed to the divorce.
The Pending Divorce:
Last week, on Tuesday, March 6, Usher and Grace Miguel released a statement confirming their mutual decision to file for divorce. “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” the couple told Us. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
Best of luck to Usher and Grace Miguel.
