In life, there are often two different routes that can be taken: the road suggested and the road less traveled by. Of course, most people find the suggested paths to be more attractive because there are far fewer risks, but then there are others who welcome the challenge of going a different way. Obviously, Swizz Beatz prefers the latter.

The famed music producer, who is also the husband of Alicia Keys, has been in the music game since 1994, starting out with The Ruff Ryders label. For more than 20 years, Swizz Beatz has dominated the Billboard charts with monumental hits that have changed the face of hip-hop. With dozens of hit records under his belt, fame, fortune, and successful business ventures, most fans would think he pretty much has the success game on lock. But, apparently, Swizz wanted more. Now, his wife, Keys, has revealed something pretty cool about him that fans may have otherwise never known.

Hip Hop To Harvard:

A few years ago, Swizz decided to tackle education, in hopes of furthering his knowledge of business operations. According to Billboard, the “On To The Next” producer was accepted into Harvard Business School. Needless to say, Swizz has had a lot of long days and sleepless nights, but it’s all about to pay off because he’ll be graduating soon. Swizz also shared a post about his upcoming graduation. He included a motivational caption that’s sure to inspire a few of his fans. “It’s never too late to be great. A Long Time Comin’:

The announcement about Swizz’s graduation follows an interview with Nylon magazine, where he explained how much the educational edge has helped him to “sharpen” his business skills:

“I think that since going to Harvard, I’ve definitely sharpened my pencil out on the business front way more than I ever expected. It’s helped me to have an idea, plan it, and execute it. Before I was at Harvard, [when] you had a great idea, you thought that the magic was going to fall from the sky because it’s a great idea, you know? So now, I know the reality of those great ideas and how to evaluate those great ideas, and how to set up the blueprint and the platform to execute those ideas, which is very, very important because I would usually have to hire a bunch of people to tell me how I should do my idea. Now, I can hire a bunch of people and tell them what my idea does. It’s a big difference.”

With a celebrity on campus, most fans would probably think it would have been kinda difficult for Swizz to focus. But he previously revealed it wasn’t too hard because surprisingly, a lot of students didn’t recognize even the brotha. Wow…really? Well, on second thought, there were probably a lot of students there who were still sippin’ on sippy cups when Swizz was dominating the rap charts.
