The allegations being thrown at Simmons revolve around an incident which took place in 1988 and the details are very strange. Primarily because of the alleged threat Simmons issued to Jane Doe involving her son. Jezebel reports;

The Jane Doe in the case says Simmons approached her and her son at a concert, after which she dropped her son off with a babysitter before going to a nightclub with Simmons. The woman alleges Simmons then said he had to pick something up at his hotel, where she says he threatened to rape her son before assaulting her.

At one point Simmons claimed that since the statute of limitations around the case had expired she should have to pay him $10 million in sanctions. But the judge immediately dismissed that motion. The Hollywood Reporter states that Simmons released a statement finally addressing his thoughts on the case;

“I am horrified at the false allegations made against me in the Complaint,” he stated. “I do not know and I have never heard of Plaintiff. Her allegation that I committed sexual battery and threatened to rape her son is absurd, shameful, and untrue. I have never had non-consensual sex with Plaintiff or anyone else.”

Simmons’ legal team have also dug up dirt on Jane Doe by revealing at one time she filed for bankruptcy and plead guilty to prostitution. It should also be noted that Simmons is currently living in Indonesia, a country that has no extradition treaty with the United States. This is a move that, according to Jane Doe’s lawyer, is an “apparent attempt to protect himself from arrest and criminal prosecution.” Simmons is due in court August 15th, six months earlier than his original trial date.
