Camille Winbush played “Vanessa ‘Nessa’ Thomkins”
Camille was a pretty lil’ girl then, and now she’s a very gorgeous woman. She was 11 years old when the show first started and by the end of it, she was 16. Her character, “Nessa,” was the most hostile one of the bunch. She played the eldest sister of “Jordan” and “Baby Girl.” In case any of you fellas are gazing at her current pic (shown below), it’s okay, she’s now 25 years old. Camille has continued her acting career, making appearances on shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, and a recurring role on The Secret Life Of A Teenager from 2008-2013. She’s also just finished filming a movie, Everything But A Man, which has not yet been released.
Jeremy Suarez played “Jordan Thomkins”
In real life, Jeremy and Camille are actually the same age, but on the show he played somewhat geeky middle child, “Jordan.” Jeremy is 25 years old now and after The Bernie Mac Show, he went on to do more acting as well as voice over acting. He was the voice of Koda in Disney’s Brother Bear as well as Jack on King of the Hill. He has also starred in Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie and he is currently filming a film titled, The Fix.
Dee Dee Davis played “Bryana ‘Baby Girl’ Thomkins”
Just in case you needed a reminder as to just how much older you’ve gotten since 2001, here it is! The smallest kid out of the pack was actress Dee Dee Davis, who played the kid sister, “Bryanna,” also affectionately called “Baby Girl” on the show and she was as cute as a button! Dee Dee was 5 years old when the show first aired and by the time it was wrapped, she was 10. Dee Dee is now 19 years old and after the show, she made a few appearances in shows like ER and Strong Medicine, but has since chosen a career outside of acting- she’s now focusing more on becoming a print model.
And there ya’ have it ILOSM family, seeing these kids as adults all of a sudden is weird, but it just goes to show how ‘Father Time’ waits for no one.
Bernie Mac was just their TV Dad but they were all close with him and he has forever left a lasting impression on their lives, just as he’s done to us old schoolers. Gotta love Bernie Mac for impacting the New School and the Old School. Job well done, Mr. Mac!
