Beyoncé recently took to Instagram to share an intimate look at her real, natural hair. The Houston-bred singer gave fans a glimpse into her hair care routine, using her own Cécred product line.

In an Instagram video (below) titled “Cécred Wash Day,” Beyoncé addresses the misconception that everyone who wear wigs don’t have healthy and/or long hair. Sitting in her stylist, Neal Farinah’s, chair, she undergoes a wash and press, showcasing the transformative effects of the Cécred hair care line on her natural tresses.

“Now that Cécred is known for the quality and what it does for your hair, I think it’s about time I show y’all what it does for my hair,” Beyoncé says in the video. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining the health of her hair throughout 25 years of putting blonde hair color on her natural hair, and of course big up’d her entire Cécred team for developing award-winning products.

The launch of Beyoncé’s hair care line earlier this year caused a stir among fans, with many eagerly purchasing the products to strengthen and their own hair. However, some questioned whether or not Bey’s products actually worked, noting that  throughout her career, all she’s ever worn is weave…not her own hair.

With this video, Beyoncé swiftly silenced her naysayers and revealed her commitment to healthy hair, as she flexed with her inches upon inches of natural hair for the ‘Gram. It becomes clear that she actually wore her own hair during the Cécred launch party, dispelling the previous misconception that she may have been rockin’ extensions.

Fans of all hair textures have embraced Beyoncé’s hair care line, appreciating the quality and effectiveness of the products. The singer’s willingness to share her personal hair journey resonates with many, as she continues to challenge stereotypes about Black haircare.

Beyoncé writes in the video’s caption, “Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me. Ever since Bey posted her hair video tutorial, the Beyhive (her fans) have been giving her props nonstop on social media…while her opposers have pretty much been silent on this one.

Some of us may not always be a fan of every Beyoncé song that drops, but ya’ gotta admit…she did the damn thing with her obviously dedicated healthy hair routine. So hats off to her for that.
