Now, Beyonce’ is probably used to people biting her style because she’s one of the greatest performers of our time. However, Black Twitter (and presumably the Bey Hive) are willing and ready to protect King Bey at all costs. And the tweets they sent out were ferocious reminders that Bey can do no wrong, but all the imitators sure can. They even gave Taylor’s performance the perfect nickname; #Mayochella.

Now, I think Taylor Swift really believes she is the “equivalent” to Beyoncé. This #Mayochella drum line off beat and all.

Unfortunately this is what happens when white folks take our art, bleach the hell out of it and try to pass it off as something cool. Still, if this was Taylor’s way of paying tribute to Beyonce’s phenomenal performance let us all come together for one huge collective sigh before logging back into Twitter for more of the deliciously hilarious roast.
