According to NyDailyNews, A source close to the “My Prerogative” singer says that Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge are expecting their third child together. Etheredge, who has been married to Brown since 2012, just gave birth to their daughter Bohdi on July 11.

That delivery came the same month Brown’s 22-year old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown died, seven months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub. Her headline-making death was eerily similar to the way her 48-year old mother Whitney Houston died in February 2012 on the eve of the Grammys.

This should be a happy time for Brown, whose bittersweet July was cruel beyond comprehension. While his daughter Bohdi was entering the world at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, his comatose daughter Bobbi Kristina lay fighting for her life in a Georgia hospital, where she died a short time later. The exact cause of her death remains a mystery as the medical examiner classified the findings of their autopsy in September.

Brown has since called that one of the most “agonizing” times in a tumultuous life that has included a battle with drug addiction that he blamed on Whitney Houston in his 2013 autobiography, “Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But.”

“I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney,” he wrote in that memoir, which detailed the pair’s abusive 15-year marriage. However, Brown announced in October that he had started work on a new tell-all called “My Prerogative,” which is expected to hit bookstores in June. In this volume, Brown will apparently detail the highs and lows he went through last summer.

“Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonizing traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter,” he told Billboard magazine after announcing the book. “But I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realize that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed.”

Etheredge’s pregnancy would make Brown a dad for the seventh time. His eldest child, Landon, turns 30 this year. The 47-year old singer has had six kids by four women.

Reps for Brown did not respond to a request for comment.
