It’s no secret that Bobby Brown has had a LOT of pain, grief, and regret on his shoulders after his beloved daughter, Bobbi Kristina, passed away on July 26, 2015 at just 22 years old. She was just a baby and now after losing his baby, it is being reported that Bobby B. is allegedly back in rehab for substance and alcohol abuse again, after years of sobriety. This information comes just a fews days after news surfaced that he and his wife, Alicia Etheridge, were expecting their third child together (and Bobby’s seventh child).
Here is what was reported about Bobby’s alleged rehab status via NYDailyNews:
Bobby Brown is once again seeking help for addiction, sources close to the “My Prerogative” singer tell Confidenti@l. This news comes two days after we exclusively revealed that Brown, 47, is going to be a dad for the seventh time.
“Bob is in rehab,” according to a Brown confidant who believed the singer was seeking help in California for cocaine and alcohol problems. An attorney for Brown denied that the singer is being treated for alcohol and cocaine use in California, but declined to answer when asked point-blank if Brown was being treated for substance abuse, saying only that the singer would perform in Charleston, S.C., on March 4.
The performer has admitted to past struggles with booze, heroin and cocaine.
This was always one of our biggest fears for Bobby, because he has had to deal with so much for years- his Dad died, his Mom died, his ex-wife/mother of his child, Whitney Houston died all within a 2 year span.
His mother, Carrol Brown, passed away on January 20, 2011 and almost 11 months later, Bobby’s dad, Herbert “Pops” Brown, died on December 10th of that same year. Bobby’s mother’s death actually reunited him with Whitney (from a peaceful, friendship standpoint) and Whitney sang at His Mom’s funeral.
Sadly, just two months after Bobby’s dad’s death, our beloved Whitney passed away, sending Bobby into a downward spiral that was clouded in extreme grief, as he tried to cope with what was happening. After Whitney’s death, Bobby had a relapse with alcohol addiction in August of 2012, after successfully managing to stay sober or 7 years prior to that. His 2012 relapse caused him to get a DUI which landed him in rehab for 18 months.
So here we are today and after baring the ultimate, most unnatural kind of pain that NO parent should ever have to bare, Bobby Brown may once again be back in the same position he was in about four years ago- trying to self medicate the grief away.
Being that Bobby is a recovered drug addict, this is understandable, because although Bobby has been fighting his heart out to keep pushing forward in life with his new baby and his other children and also in his career, there is only so much heartache one person can take and we all have different ways of dealing with it. We truly wish Bobby B. well and will continue to keep he and his family in our thoughts and prayers as they try to adjust to their new lives without their beautiful Bobbi Kristina here with them.
