Charlie murphy’s claim to fame was the infamous Chappelle Show ‘Prince sketch’ and the ‘Rick James sketch.’
For his Rick James sketch, Charlie called Rick an “habitual line stepper” and had us ALL crackin’ up with his ‘True Life Hollywood’ Chappelle Show story…
The ‘Prince sketch’ was particularly memorable and detailed a pick-up basketball game where the the beloved music icon (played by Chappelle) and his team beat Murphy’s. Prince later revealed the game did in fact take place, telling MTV that “the whupping is true.”
