Usher and his legal team are probably happy as hell right now. After the news that just broke about one of his accusers- who’s suing him for $20 million- I don’t see how they couldn’t be.

Many of us recall Laura Helm, the woman who claims she had UNPROTECTED sex with Usher at a New Orleans, La. hotel and ultimately contracted herpes from him. At the time, people were pretty surprised that she’d made her identity public, especially after claiming that she is now herpes infected. Nevertheless, she was comfortable with doing so and it’s a free country, right? BUT…

Her Lie

As of today though (October 9, 2017), she may not be too comfortable with the audio recording that has now surfaced. Helm just got busted in a lie about Usher that will definitely hurt her credibility going forward:

Via TMZ– Usher’s herpes accuser in Georgia, Laura Helm, insisted she ONLY had protected sex with him — even though she claimed otherwise in her $20 million lawsuit. […] TMZ obtained a recording of Helm on the phone telling a male friend she had no plans to sue Usher after finding out he allegedly has herpes. She said Usher had always worn a condom when they had sex … so she wasn’t concerned about being exposed to the virus. As she put it … “That’s why they make protection, for people who have STDs.” The conversation went down July 19 … just 2 days before Helm filed the lawsuit and changed her story. In the docs she said Usher did NOT use a condom when they had sex in New Orleans.

Laaaawd…so Helm did a quick switch-a-roo at the last minute. That’s not all though, her attorney is now doing damage control…even after Helm got shut down in court over another one of her claims. See what she said below.

Accuser’s Attorney Trying To Do Damage Control

Via TMZ: Her attorney, Lisa West, says Helm only lied because she thought her publicist, Dennis Byron — the guy on the phone — was trying to shop a story to the media about Usher having an affair. West says Helm “didn’t want to be exploited and, in her attempt to deter Byron from doing so, she told him (inaccurately) that she never had unprotected sex with Usher and that she did not have herpes.” West adds she’s gone to law enforcement because Helm thinks Byron was extorting her. Worth noting — Helm also accused Byron of stalking her, but on Friday a judge dismissed the matter for lack of evidence.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. IF any of the three herpes allegations pending against Usher are true, then he should be held responsible for his wrongs. HOWEVER, when accusers lie -like the one Laura Helm just got caught in- they too, should be held responsible. It’s only fair.
