The BLSA Was Digging In Deep…
The school’s dean notes that the Netflix miniseries has “reignited” a “painful” and “vital” conversation about race, criminal justice, and identity. Too, she says she’s “deeply committed to fostering a learning environment that furthers” the dialogue.
“I look forward to continued participation and engagement,” Dean Gillian Lester mentions in the letter to the law school community. “I value the recent input from the Black Law Students Association [BLSA] and others as we work together to achieve these shared goals.”
The “shared goals” she’s speaking about are “inclusive teaching and learning experiences.”
You see, days ago, the BLSA was basically breathing fire down her and Elizabeth Lederer’s necks regarding the former lecturer’s involvement in the Central Park case, especially as its lead prosecutor.
