The past couple months haven’t been easy for Tyrese but it looks like things are turning around. When reports surfaced about the child abuse allegations against Tyrese, it seemed like he was facing the possibility of never seeing his daughter again. But, today’s court ruling in Tyrese’s favor is definitely a game changer.
Winning Big In Court:
According to New York Daily News, a Los Angeles judge dismissed the domestic violence order against Tyrese. Despite his ex-wife Norma Mitchell’s efforts, they will return to having shared custody of their 10-year-old daughter Shayla. For those who missed it, Norma accused Tyrese of striking Shayla “12 to 16 times” but he claims he only “struck her once on the bottom.”
It has been reported that the judge ruled Norma’s claims against the singer/actor were “100% unsubstantiated.” Tyrese and Norma will go back to sharing custody at the beginning of January of 2018. But, how will they handle things during the holiday season? According to TMZ, the estranged pair have worked out an arrangement that will allow them to both spend time with Shayla over the upcoming holidays.
Over the course of Tyrese and Norma’s 3-week court battle, he took to social media on numerous occasions with disturbing posts that had many fans questioning his mental health. Tyrese admitted he does battle depression but there is no indication that he is not stable enough to care for his daughter.
Very Few Words:
After leaving the courthouse, Tyrese had very little to say. Although it will probably take time for Tyrese to restore his relationship with Shayla, he will now have the opportunity to do so. Congratulations to Tyrese!
