Cops Launch Investigation After Three Six Mafia Legend Gangsta Boo Dies Suddenly, Details

Very heartbreaking news to share today I Love Old School Music family…rapper, Gangsta Boo, of the legendary rap group, Three Six Mafia, has died. And according to the latest reports, law enforcement officials have now launched an investigation into her cause of death. Details below…

Gangsto Boo was pronounced dead today (January 1, 2023). She was just 43 years old. Though details surrounding her death are still sketchy, new info has surfaced from sources close to the hip hop legend. Here’s the latest:

Via TMZ – Sources connected to Gangsta Boo tell TMZ … the rapper’s death appears to be drug-related. We’re told Gangsta was with her brother last night at a local concert in Memphis, and that her sibling started to overdose sometime in the night … requiring hospitalization.
While he ended up being okay, our sources tell us that people familiar with Gangsta Boo’s death scene insist narcotics were found on her person and that a fentanyl-laced substance is believed to be at play. We’re told the police are launching an official investigation. An autopsy obviously needs to be done as well to see what the cause of death is.

Gangsta Boo was not only a highly acclaimed legend in her hometown of Memphis, TN, she was respected nationwide in the hip hop game, as an original member of the Grammy Award winning Three Six Mafia throughout the 90s, 2000s, and up to this day.

News of Gangsta Boo’s passing was initially announced by her former group member, Juicy J, on Instagram…and ever since, countless fans and celebs have been paying homage to her, as well as sending words of condolences to her loved ones.
