Cuba learned early that he’d have to work to maintain. At a young age, he began working in the deserts in Victorville, CA pulling weeds. Eight hours of work paid approximately $3.00. He often helped to make the $13.50 his mom needed to buy milk, rice and beans for his brother, Omar, and sister, April. His mother, Shirley, has also spoken about the sacrifices he made as a child in order to help her maintain.
Cuba Explains Their Relationship Now
Although they had many difficult years, Cuba and his father have reconciled over the years. Their parents rekindled their romantic relationship years ago. Like any relationship, there are ups and downs and nothing is perfect, but they’re much more amicable now.
