I Love Old School Music family, in case you ain’t heard, not only was Darius McCrary, who played Eddie Winslow in the popular 90s sitcom “Family Matters,” arrested on November 27, 2023, in Oakland County, Michigan, for failing to pay child support — he is now pushin’ hoodies to celebrate the occasion. According to T M Z, Darius had an outstanding child support balance of $52,788 and four cents as of March 12, twenty-19. He was booked on a felony count of failure to pay child support and pled not guilty at his arraignment. The judge set his bond conditions at $13,197.01 and being monitored by a GPS device. McCrary is dad to two daughters and one son.

This is not the first time Darius has been arrested for failing to pay child support. He was arrested in 2010 in Los Angeles for failing to pay $5,500 in child support. He was released after paying the amount. In 2015, he was arrested in Oakland County, Michigan, for the same reason. He was given two options in family court: he could either pay $5,000 in back child support for his young son or stay in jail for two weeks. McCrary chose to pay the amount and was released from jail after a few hours.

Back then, Darius took to Instagram stating, “I love my son more than anything in this world. I will do whatever it takes to make sure he is taken care of and has everything he needs to be happy and successful in life. I am not a deadbeat dad, and I am not a criminal. I am a father who wants to be there for his son and do the right thing”.

Fast forward to now, just a few days after his most recent arrest the other day — Darius has now launched a new line of hoodies, featuring his mugshot and his latest inmate eye D number on them.

He captioned his hoodie post with, “Tis the season 2 Get yours. Family doesn’t matter to the system. ChildSupport can eventually affect us all. Nobody wins but the lawyers, the judges, the system. Hey if you want to be in my business please by all means wear it with pride. Power 2 the people and the children.”
