Drea Kelly recently spoke to TMZ, via her rep, about how she felt when she heard the news that Kelly just might have earned enough to fulfill his obligations, in spite of the pending 10-count sex abuse case against him:
A rep for Drea Kelly — R. Kelly’s ex of more than 10 years — tells TMZ … she takes no issue with R. Kelly getting out there and making a buck — but not because she thinks he’s innocent … it’s more about what it means for her and their kids. …
We’re told Drea sees it this way … if R. Kelly’s working to fulfill his financial obligations, “no one can be mad at him for that.” Besides, Drea’s rep tells us the man certainly has responsibilities that need tending to with dough … for the sake of his kids.
I know one thing, we bett’ NOT see Drea gleefully singing along to “Happy People,” after this. She’s already caught flack for doing that in her reportedly 2017 Facebook Live video, which resurfaced shortly after she came out with spousal abuse allegations against R. Kelly in 2018. They were married from 1996 to 2009.
