Although the filing didn’t specify where R. Kelly was set to perform in Dubai and the Dubai’s media office din’t have any official request thus far, it apparently doesn’t mean his performance claims aren’t true, according to AP:
There was no immediately publicized event for which Kelly was known to be a performer, nor did anyone in the entertainment industry hear about one.
However, Dubai’s luxury nightclubs often host hip hop and other artists for days at a time to perform and be seen among the millionaires of this skyscraper-studded city that is home to the world’s tallest building. Rich families also pay for celebrities at their parties.
Meanwhile, Joycelyn Savage’s (R. Kelly’s girlfriend) parents are reportedly terrified that R. Kelly and their daughter are planning on fleeing the U.S., so he can avoid possible prison time on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.
