Tasha Smith was married once to her manager, Keith Douglas, in 2010. They jumped the broom after dating for one year and initially everything seemed all good….until it wasn’t. Four years later, Tasha was able to get their marriage annulled, after she reportedly found out Keith withheld pertinent info from her.
Turns out, Tasha was married was married to an illusion of who she thought her then husband was. According to Tasha, the judge granted her an annulment because Keith had apparently never told her he’d already been married 5 times and had several kids he allegedly didn’t claim.
In an April 2019 interview with Essence, Tasha declared this about the next man she would get serious with:
T.S.- “I’ll tell you what I ain’t gonna marry – a broke brother. I’m not trying to clean nobody up – you gotta be cleaned already. Listen honey, I’m too old to be taking care of a grown man, you know?”
“I’m just more interested in a person being on the same level, if not higher, than what I’m on. As I’ve gotten older, having a partner that is driven in that way is more than love. I’m open to marriage, but it’s not on the forefront of what I need to have right now… and I’m probably the perfect person to date because I’m not into putting any pressure on you or myself.”
