West Coast hip hop has been a highly respected institution for many years. The left coast has a style and sound all its own, producing some of hip hop’s most beloved acts. Of course older hip hop heads will immediately go to the iconic N.W.A. as one of the most legendary groups to ever do it. However, there’s a new crop of emcess who’ve made a name for themselves, including the late Nipsey Hussle, Kendrick Lamar, and new skool veteran, The Game. He has always represented for his city and will continue to do so because of his hometown pride, but another thing Game is proud of, are his children. So, for his son, Harlem’s, 16th birthday, he completely showed him all the love, with a huge party and a very expensive gift.

Game took to Instagram to send a touching shout out to his eldest son, Harlem, with a few throwback photos and a long caption that is bursting with a father’s love.  Game admits that had Harlem not been born, he has no idea where he would be in his life right now, stating;

You are & have always been my strength & the true motivation behind everything that I have been able to achieve in my career & life. If you weren’t born who knows where I’d be in life, but I am 100% positive it wouldn’t be here, as I didn’t even know how to properly love or appreciate anything til I met you.”

The Game’s love for his son, as far all of his children, is very evident. Having been born into what he’s described as a “dysfunctional” family, Game spent years in the foster care system. Eventually, with the help of his older brother, he turned to music and has now become one of the most respected artists in the industry. And the party he’s just thrown for Harlem proves that when it comes to birthdays, Game spares no expense.
