Like I said, many didn’t believe that there was absolutely no romantic connection between Lisa and Jones. What also further fueled the rumors back then, is the fact that Lisa Raye started attending Bishop Jones’ City of Refuge L.A. and apparently sat in a ‘reserved’ seating area, according to witnesses.

The Players Club actress reportedly once confirmed that she was attending Jones’ church, but she also denied that she was dating him.

“Let me put an end to this…People have us dating, [engaged], and running off to get married and I’m not doing ANY of the above. I attend his [Bishop Jones] church because I’ve been in search of a church home. I made a brief stop at his church and I will be continuing my journey. And by the way, when I do get engaged, I will let y’all know…deal?”

Lisa was allegedly supposed to star in Oxygen’s Preachers of L.A. reality series with Bishop Jones, but apparently, that didn’t pan out.
