Chaka’s other younger sister is singer, Taka Boom! Some of you have probably heard of her. Before the world knew them, Chaka and Taka were singing in a group together in the 60’s. Then they pursued separate careers and made names for themselves.

Taka went on to sing background vocals for several Parliament albums in the ’70s and she’s also known for her work with DJ/producer Dave Lee, especially for the hits under the Joey Negro brand. Taka was also a member of the Norman Whitfield group The Undisputed Truth. Remember them?
