Yes, that’s Smokey Robinson and his ex-wife Claudette Robinson’s child! Just to take you back a bit, Smokey Robins on ahd Claudette met way back in the day when they were “The Miracles”, also known as “Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.” They were the first successful recording act for Berry Gordy’s Motown Records, and one of the most important and influential groups in pop, rock and roll, and R&B music history.
The Robinsons were married for 27 years between 1957 and 1986. And were recently entwined in a messy court proceeding. They had two children together, Berry Robinson, (named after Berry Gordy), and Tamla Robinson. The Robinsons experienced heartache, which Smokey used in his songwriting, following the premature birth and death of their twin daughters, and after Claudette suffered a miscarriage. He penned the hits, “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me” (1962), “I’ll Try Something New” (1962), “Ooo Baby Baby” (1965), “Choosey Beggar” (1965), “The Tracks of My Tears” (1965), and “More Love” (1967) after experiencing this heartache.
We didn’t find many pics of Berry Robinson, but Tamla Robinson is a friend to the camera. She looks to be a perfect blend of both her Mom & Dad.
