You probably don’t know his face, but you definitely know his music and his legendary singer Mother. Damon Elliott, also known as Buck 22, is a producer who has sold over 150 million albums, worked with everyone from Beyonce to Brittany Spears, earned seven Grammy Award Nominations, and won one Grammy Award for his rendition of “Lady Marmalade” featured in the film Moulin Rouge. His work crosses several genres of music including R&B, gospel, pop, hip hop, rock, and country as a writer, composer, producer and recording artist. He’s also the co-founder of Confidential Records and its current president, who have signed several artists, including R&B singer, Keyshia Cole.
Now let’s talk about this legendary Mother, (an old school music icon)! Her musical accomplishments are even greater than her son’s musical track record! She’s earned 15 Grammy nominations, won 5 Grammys, and she’s second only to Aretha Franklin, as the most-charted female vocalist of all time, with 69 of Dionne’s singles making the Billboard Hot 100 between 1962 and 1998. His iconic Mother is the one and only Dionne Warwick. Who would’ve guessed that?

Between, Dionne, her sister- the late Dee Dee Warwick, her cousin- Cissy Houston and Cissy’s daughter- the late great Whitney Houston, this family is shrouded in musical talent and Dionne’s son, Damon is continuing the family’s legacy.
In recent years, Damon’s created The Damon Elliott Music Group (DEMG, LLC) and inked a distribution deal with Caroline/Capitol Records, where he’ll soon be releasing a project with with his mother Dionne called, “Feels So Good” – a duets project that will also feature artists such as Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo and Cee-Lo Green.
Now it doesn’t stop there because Dionne actually has two sons and they’re BOTH musically talented- Damon (41) and David Elliot (45), from her marriage to actor and jazz musician, William David Elliot. Dionne married William twice- they married in 1966, divorced in May of 1967; married again in August of 1967, separated in 1975. Dionne has said in several interviews that”It was a case of can’t do with, can’t do without, so I married him again.”
