John Witherspoon is in the house! Yep that’s this young brotha’s dad. Every time I see John it makes me want to yell out *in my John Witherspoon “Boomerang” movie voice* these two phrases “Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!!!” and “You got ta’ coooordinate.” Am I the only one who gets that urge, or no?
Okay I just digressed for a minute….back to John Witherspoon’s son, his name is John also, but he goes by the name J.D. Witherspoon, and he is an internet sensation with a few hundred thousand followers on social media. He’s following in the comedic footsteps of his Dad and he sometimes even posts videos of his Dad, while annoying him at the same time…LOL.
J.D.’s mother is Angela Witherspoon, whom John has been married to since 1988 and they also have another son, 19 year old Alexander Witherspoon.

Here’s an Old School fun fact about John: His last name is actually Weatherspoon and he changed it to Witherspoon once he entered the entertainment field.
Old School fun fact number 2: John recently admitted that although he’d been in the game since the 70’s, he did not start making real money until he was 54 years old and starring on the 1990’s Wayans Brothers sitcom. Just goes to show what hard work, dedication, and perseverance can do.
Old School fun fact #3: John Witherspoon is 73 years young, but I’ll be damned if this brotha doesn’t look like he hasn’t aged since his Boomerang movie days, which was 23 years ago in 1992. Do you agree? He’s obviously taking great care of himself.
