Rumors are still circulating from Jackson’s first marriage to James DeBarge. She eloped with DeBarge in 1984, but as y’all know, their marriage didn’t last long and eventually was annulled. But then rumors began spreading like wildfire that Jackson and DeBarge had a child out there somewhere. And now that’s where the the matriarch of the legendary Debarge family, Mrs. Etterlene Debarge, comes in…
Speaking with Inside Edition, Etterlene claims that Janet and her son, James, fathered a child.
“I know there’s a daughter out there somewhere,” DeBarge said when asked by Inside Edition whether Jackson gave birth to a secret child 31 years ago.
Several stories have been going around about their alleged love child. Some believe that Janet gave the alleged daughter to her older sister, Rebbie, to raise, while other reports suggest that the daughter was given up for adoption.
Through the years, Etterlene DeBarge claims that she’s been contacted by several women claiming to be the long lost daughter of Janet Jackson and James DeBarge. And now, here’s where it gets interesting…one woman in particular has caught her attention.
A 31-year-old Philadelphia woman named Tiffany approached Etterlene in an airport and they instantly connected.
“I told her, the proof is in the pudding let’s go get a DNA test,” Etterlene shared with Inside Edition.
Inside Edition was given the DNA test , which found that the probability of relatedness is 96.7 percent.
