The Time For Redemption Is Now!

Meek Mill has been getting the rear end of Judge Genece Brinkley. And according to the District Attorney in Philadelphia, he deserves a new trial without her on the bench.

The D.A.’s office just filled paperwork in Pennsylvania Superior Court stating Judge Brinkley serving on the case has been a conflict. Primarily due to the fact she has proven to be biased throughout the case. Therefore it is only fair that Meek should be retried in his probation violation case.

Judge Brinkley is the one that sentenced Meek to 2 to 4 years in a state prison. That had since been set aside when Meek was released in April 2018. Since then, he has appealed for a new trial. To no surprise Judge Brinkley denied his request back in June, refusing to grant a retrial.

What is ground breaking is that with this recent filing, it is now on the record that the D.A. is siding with the defendant. In court documents the D.A calls out Brinkleys bias against Meek. He goes even further by pointing out a surprise visit she made at a homeless shelter where Meek was court ordered to do community service at.

The D.A. makes the argument that probation officers are supposed to be doing that then report it back to the Judge. It is not for the Judge to be doing. Additionally in the documents it states Brinkley also “abused her discretion” when she slapped him with the 2-4 year sentence. All supposedly due to “technical violations” of his probation.

Continuing his defense for the defendant, the D.A. says Meek is not a threat to society and has completed drug treatment. Which should make him deserving at another chance in court.
