Whew chile! Jackée Harry showed us just how cool she is, by opening up about an alleged violent run-in she had with legendary singer, Eartha Kitt.
A few years ago Jackée responded to a tweet, which asked “what’s the most surreal encounter you’ve had with someone famous?” Her reveal was reminiscent of the now-infamous Will-Smith-Chris-Rock slap.
“I Didn’t Know He Was Taken”
Jackée Harry wrote, “Eartha Kitt slapped the f— outta me!”
“She thought I was sleeping with her boyfriend,” Harry revealed.
The 227 star then went on to admit that she was having sex with Kitt’s man, but had no idea they were together.
“I didn’t know he was taken,” Harry tweeted, adding a broken heart emoji.
Kitt died in 2008 at the age of 81.
The “At Last” singer is survived by her daughter Kitt McDonald with ex-husband William O. McDonald. Kitt was married to O. MacDonald from 1960 to 1964.
She Admits Working In The Industry Hasn’t Been Easy
Harry is most known for her role as Lisa Landry on the Disney series Sister Sister starring twins Tia and Tamera Mowry. But the actress and comedian has admitted that working in the industry as a woman hasn’t been easy.
“The thing with women is, you know you have these things you can’t talk about that aren’t allowed,” Harry said on Wednesday’s episode of Netflix’s Strong Black Legends.
“Men can say anything,” Harry continued. “With women you have to be careful because people are looking at the woman first then the comedian.”
Is Sister Sister Making Its Way Back To Television?
Harry Told Steve Harvey Sister Sister Is Coming Back
“Yeah, it’s happening!” Harry confirmed when asked about the ongoing rumors on Steve Harvey’s talk show in 2018.
“I’m excited. Tia and Tamera [Mowry] … my babies, too. They won’t leave me alone. I can’t get rid of none of these women!” she joked.
One Of The Twins Would Be With Roger
Tamera Mowry Housley told Us Weekly that she felt that either her or her sister’s character would be married to their annoying neighbor, Roger, in the reboot.
“The obvious I think would be that one of the characters would end up with Roger. I have an idea on what the characters will be doing but it has to be a surprise!” Housley laughed
Even though the revival hasn’t gotten the official green light, the star confirmed that plans are definitely in the works.
She added:
“I love that our fans are just as eager as we are to get this thing up and running. We are talking to producers as we speak. We’re talking with writers.
“My sister and I want to make sure that this is going to be amazing. We don’t just want to put something together and say, ‘Hey, look, the reunion.’ We want to make really good TV and that’s what we’re going to do now.”
