The Chicago Tribune reporter also revealed that the judge stated that if the special prosecutor finds “reasonable grounds to believe that any other criminal offense was committed … special prosecutor may commence the prosecution of any crime as may be suspected.”

As y’all already know, Foxx caught all kinds of side eyes when her office decided to mysteriously drop all 16 felony counts against Jussie, for disorderly conduct for filing a false police report.
When Kim Foxx recused herself early on in Jussie’s case, she stated that she’d done so, simply out of extreme caution, because she’d had a phone conversation with someone within Jussie’s camp- presumably a family member. That’s when she appointed First Assistant State’s Attorney Joseph Magats to the case, who ultimately dropped the charges against Jussie.
The actor was forced to forfeit his $10,000.00 bond and supposedly received credit for doing 16 hours of community service, but he was not required to admit any form of guilt publicly.
Foxx eventually hinted that she believed Jussie was guilty of staging the supposed racist, homophobic ‘attack’ against him, but pretty much said Chicago has bigger issues to deal with right now.
It was later alleged that Foxx had several ongoing texts message and email discussions with Jussie’s loved ones throughout his investigation, reportedly keeping them informed of the details that were unfolding within the case.
As for Jussie Smollett, he may just be back in court yet again….Laaaaawd.
