According to JoJo Smollett, what “should be frightening to everyone” is that according to him, the only “evidence that the police and the general public needed to be convinced” is that the Osundairo brothers “confessed” in the “final hour” that the attack was staged by Jussie, just before they were about to be held in police custody.
“Simply ask yourself this, ‘What if Jussie is telling the truth?’” he urged.
Why JoJo believes Jussie’s case was dropped by the State Attorney’s Office:
“I think that they, being legally trained and experienced, determined that the case against Jussie was weak.”
JoJo claims Fox Network disputed claims that Jussie wanted a raise:
“The Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department announced publicly that Jussie’s motive in staging an attack was so he could make more money from Empire. Fox immediately said that wasn’t true but the police chief never withdrew his accusation.”
***FYI*** What Fox exec’ really said:
USAToday reported that a Fox executive instead said ‘neither Smollett nor his representatives had complained to his employers about his pay ‘ prior to the ‘attack.’ That does not mean he didn’t want one, nor did Fox state that possibility “wasn’t true.”
JoJo alludes that the public is naive for believing “ridiculous” motive:
“I WAS SHOCKED AT HOW EASILY easily everyone accepted the ridiculous motive about Jussie’s career that was promulgated. … Jussie has a team of extremely effective agents, managers, publicists, and attorneys who helped him acquire career advancement. He wouldn’t need to roll around on the icy ground of a Chicago street, staging an attack on himself to make this happen.”
