Kanye West has paid tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle at his weekly Sunday Service.
At the high energy outdoor service, the Grammy award winning rapper played an audio of Nipsey’s voice. Nipsey – real name Ermias Asghedom – was heard delivering inspirational words about encouragement.
Yeezy then acted as DJ and as he slowed down the up – tempo music to honor the much missed artist.
“Believe In Yourselves”
Nipsey Hussle was tragically murdered last week at the age of 33. Hussle was fatally shot outside his store, Marathon Clothing, in South Los Angeles. Eric Holder, a 29-year-old-man who had confronted Hussle earlier in the day, has been charged with his murder.
Blaring over the speaker, Hussle’s voice rang out saying, “You all stay focused, work hard, believe in yourselves.”
A video from the event then shows a huge choir and live band sing a hymn for Nipsey.
