Actor Omar Epps and his wife/Total singer, Keisha Epps, have just been hit with a lawsuit by their former nanny and we’re not sure if this is a case of a disgruntled former employee, if the nanny was fired or quit voluntarily. But whatever the reason, she is not too pleased with the money she was getting paid from the Epps fam.’ Check out the details of her lawsuit against Keisha and Omar below:
Via TMZ: Omar Epps and his wife got a sweet deal on their nanny, getting her to tidy up the house and clean up after their pets too, without paying her a dime of overtime … according to the former employee.Alba Hernandez says she put in 8 years with Omar and his wife Keisha … taking care of their 2 kids. But she says she also ran errands for the Epps fam and took care of their pets.
Alba says her household duties required way more than your average 9 to 5. She says she put in more than 40 hours a week, but never got any overtime. She admits she made decent money … $65k per year, but clearly feels she would’ve made much more on an hourly rate.
She doesn’t says how or why she stopped working for Omar and Keisha, but she’s suing for back wages and unpaid overtime.
Keisha and Omar are typically not ones to talk about their private lives publicly, but apparently their former nanny didn’t get that memo, or maybe she doesn’t really care about that at all, because all she wants right now is the money she claims is her just due.
Hopefully the three of them can resolve this amicably and out of court because the last thing anybody wants is another costly court battle and lawyers fees on their hands.
On a side note can we pause for a minute to give Keisha and Omar their props for being ride or die for each other for the past 10 years? They have two children and are still going strong. Nothing like a strong happy, loving couple in the land of Hollywood, Hollyhood, and R&B…or whatever else you refer to the entertainment world as.
Another side note- We canNOT end this article without tipping our collective hats to the three ladies of Total: Keisha, Pam, and Kima, for reuniting and doing their thing on the recent Bad Boy reunion Tour some twenty some-odd years since their debut into the music world. And they are looking hella good while these days too…
And just for nostalgia’s sake…and because we love us some Total…Reminisce with us ILOSM family…
