The “U Got It Bad” crooner has taken center stage in a series of sensual images and a commercial, showcasing the brand’s boxer briefs and t-shirts.
Kim Kardashian, the mastermind behind SKIMS, couldn’t hide her excitement when she shared snippets from the campaign, on Instagram, with her 364 million followers. Giving her fans a sneak peek, Kim captioned the photos with, “@USHER in our most-wanted base layers. New SKIMS Mens Underwear drops Monday, February 12 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.”
Usher left his fans in awe as he showed off his tats, biceps, and whatnot.
The edgy campaign even incorporated a lil’ added surprise for the ladies—the inclusion of a peach prop. In one photo, Usher squeezed the peach, allowing its juice to trickle down his arm in a move that was clearly aimed to add further sex appeal to the shoot. Kim Kardashian’s caption teasingly revealed, “Another juicy surprise: The Grammy-winning icon’s new album, COMING HOME, launches Friday, February 9 midnight EST worldwide, and SKIMS is releasing an exclusive, limited edition digital download version with an alternative album cover and a bonus track called ‘Naked,’ available only on skims.com for one week. In the accompanying commercial, Usher introduced himself by playfully spelling out his first name, a nod to his hit 1997, “Nice & Slow.” With confidence, he expressed, “What I do is entertain,” while showcasing the SKIMS boxers and tossing the peach in the air.
