things went sour and Sole’ filed for divorce in July of this year (2015). We were all rooting for them over here too, but Ginuwine said this about their split:
“We’re friends and we’re good, we’re going to raise our kids separately, and we’re good.”
Nowadays Ginuwine is working on his ninth album and says that his tenth will more than likely be his last.
“It’s time for me to do something different. I wanna see other people prosper and be a part of that. That’s what I’m going to focus on — bringing them out to the world. It’s just time,” he says.
It’s been 20 years since he’s been in the music game – Geesh time sure does fly! It’s going to be a sad day in the music industry when more real singers, like Ginuwine, start dropping out of the biz because R&B is in a bad enough state as it is.
We’ll most definitely be on the lookout for Ginuwine’s upcoming album, which he currently refers to as the ‘R&B Detox’ (paying homage to Dr. Dre’s long awaited ‘Detox’ album). He also recently released a single called “Leave It In” and we’ll leave that up to your own individual interpretations, if you catch our drift. He got a lotta praise for that single on social media, so if his album is anything like his most recent single, then everything is looking up for Ginuwine and we wish him the best. Check out “Leave It In” below…
