After all the controversy surrounding the Aaliyah movie on Lifetime, they are doing it again. This time it’s Whitney Houston. Will you be watching? Whitney’s friend Angela Bassett makes her directorial debut in this one. At least someone who really knew Whitney is behind it. They co-starred in the movie “Waiting To Exhale” and Whitney was married to Angela’s real-life husband Courtney Vance in “The Preacher’s Wife” with Denzel Washington.

The movie centers around Whitney’s entire musical and personal career. We think most of America will watch for several reasons. One, we loved Whitney in her prime. The girl was the baddest thing on the planet from the mid 80s to the early 90s. Two, we are quite curious to see how Lifetime portrays this giant and how they market it. And finally, we are watching to see just how well Angela does her thing.
