Little Richard may be one of the pioneers of Rock-N-Roll, but to most fans, he’s more than just a musician. Although the chart-topping singer/performer took fans by storm during his time at the top, long after he stopped making hits, Little Richard was still turning heads. He also became known for his flawless makeup, hairstyles, and over-the-top personality.

In addition to his distinctive look, the outspoken, flamboyant singer has never been one to mince words. But, apparently, things are quite different now. Earlier this week, Little Richard decided to do an interview for the first time in years on the Three Angels Broadcasting Network. Footage from the hour-long interview has now gone viral and you’ll be surprised to learn why.

A VERY Different Little Richard?:

After Little Richard was announced and the camera turned his way, fans were shocked to see how he looks today. Gone are the long mullet wigs and the Pancake 31 makeup. The “Good Golly Miss Molly” singer bared all in the interview, wearing a conservative suit with his hair slicked back. The singer’s true darker complexion is quite different from the lighter shade of makeup he’s known for wearing. Showing only his true grey hair, he looks quite different from how fans remember. But that’s not the only thing that’s different…

I Am Delivert!

For years, Little Richard has raised eyebrows where his sexuality is concerned. From claims of bisexuality to “omnisexuality,” we’ve heard it all over the years, when it comes to the “Tutti Fruity” singer. But now he has a different perspective of it all. He’s no longer the flamboyant singer he once was because he claims he’s left homosexuality behind. Yes, you read that right. Little Richard claims he’s no longer gay. During the interview, the famed singer – now a pastor – shared how his life has changed over the years. He offered his take on what he now describes as “unnatural affections.”

“Give everything you’ve got to Jesus and you’ll feel oh, so much better. […] You know it’s just like everybody is turning one way or the other. This man here, when I first came into show business, they wanted you to look like everybody but yourself. And anybody come in show business, they’re gonna say you’re gay. Are you straight? Are you a homosexual something? They’re gonna say it. But the God, Jesus, made men, men…he made women, women..you know. And you’ve got to live the way God wants you to live.”

‘God Can Fix You’

Little Richard also had some advised any person of the LGBT community to leave it God to ‘help’ them change their sexuality, so they can become “holy like Jesus.” Told y’all this is waaaaay different from the Little Richard we all know. See what else he said below…

“Regardless of whatever you are He loves you. I don’t care what you are. He loves you and He can save you, and He will save you and He can help you. He will help you. All you’ve got to do is say, ‘Lord, take me as I am. I’m a sinner.’ But we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The only holy, righteous person is Jesus and He wants us to be just like Him because in order to go to Heaven, we’ve got to look like Him,” Richard said. “I don’t want to sing Rock and Roll no more. … I want to be holy like Jesus.”
