It looks like Madonna has it out for whomever exposed that now infamous break-up letter Tupac wrote to her from jail, telling him he was leaving her because she is White. Remember a few weeks ago, we revealed that ‘Pac and Madonna were a couple back in the day and that the letter he wrote her was going up for auction? In the letter, ‘Pac wrote to Madonna:
“For you to be seen with a Black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting. [..] But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was. […] “I never meant to hurt you.”
He then went on to express how his spiritual growth after having been shot 5 times and landing in prison, was what helped him come to that realization that he no longer wanted to be with her.
Tupac’s Full Break-Up Letter To Madonna Over Her Race
Below is a part of Tupac’s break-up letter to Madonna. You can read the full letter here.
Madonna’s Legal Action
The letter was scheduled to go up for auction on the auction site, GottaHaveRockAndRoll on July 19th through the 28th. The staring bid was $100K (‘Pac’s last handwritten letter sold for $170K). Well, now Madonna is like ‘Hell to the naw!’ when it comes to that letter and has just taken legal action to shut it all the way down.
Madonna is pissed that someone betrayed her, released the letter to the public and is selling it for a profit. According to TMZ, Madonna believes that her former friend/art consultant, Darlene Lutz, jacked the letter from her home and gave it to the auction site, along with other personal items of her’s. In the temporary emergency court order, Madonna filed on Tuesday (7-18-17), she stated that she had no idea ‘Pac’s break-up letter wasn’t even in her possession anymore.
According to reports, after filing her emergency court order, a judge has ordered that ‘Pac’s pricey break-up letter to Ms. ‘Material Girl’ be removed from the auction site before the auction begins.
The auction site has vowed to fight back. Here’s what their spokesperson said:
Via TMZ: “Madonna and her legal army have taken what we believe to be a completely baseless and meritless action to temporarily halt the sale of Ms. Lutz’s legal property. We believe that her intent is nothing more than to besmirch the good reputations of the auction house and Ms. Lutz. Madonna’s allegations will be vigorously challenged and refuted in a court of law in due course.”
Geesh! The past can come back to haunt a celebrity in all sorts of ways, I tell ya.’
